Due to its sea level location, Panama City is quite warm and humid, similar to Miami.  However don’t worry, almost everywhere within the city is air-conditioned, from Taxis to Hotels.  It is recommended that light clothing be worn due to the heat and humidity.  The early mornings and evenings are the best time to explore this wonderful city, as the closer to noon it is, the hotter and more humid you will find it, which can become rather uncomfortable on very hot days.  Beach towns and island resorts benefit from lower humidity and a gentle cooling breeze making it much more pleasant.

Due to such a diverse range of areas, such as islands, mainland beaches, mountains and valleys, there will be somewhere pleasant to visit all year round. 

The best time to visit Panama is between mid-December and late March.  This is due to the rainy season, which runs April through till November.  During this season mornings are usually pleasant and sunny, with short periods of heavy rain in the afternoon, which will remain overcast and cloudy for the majority.

Average temperatures throughout the year do not change too much, ranging from 34 C during the daytime, to 21 C at night.  Humidity is usually pretty high year round at about 80%.
