Review
Perla Real is a real gem.
I'd almost given up on finding suitable lodging on Isla
Contadora when I stumbled on this charming bed and breakfast.
My husband and I are not the resort type, and large
resorts seemed to be the only options that came up in
web searches.
Perla Real is one of the
newest establishments in the island's quiet "residential
zone," where there are a number of comfortable
bed and breakfasts. It's a 10-minute walk to one of
the island's nicest beaches, Playa Ejecutiva, and a
15-minute walk to the island's downtown -- basically
a handful of establishments by the airstrip. If you
prefer not to walk, for about $55 a day you can rent
a golf cart, the transportation of choice on the small
island.
