At the foot of the Baru Volcano in the beautiful valley of Boquete is this great little hotel. With just 19 rooms this hotel is very intimate and peaceful, great for those wanting to get away from it all. When you arrive in the area, is the only time that you can truly appreciate why Boquete has been named one of the top 4 places to live in the world. The scenery is stunning in every direction, truly magnificent.

In the area there is the skyline dominating Baru Volcano, and the national park surrounding it, giving guests plenty of room to explore nature at its best. The famous town of Boquete is only a short walk down the road, where people can buy souvenirs and eat at some great restaurants.

Founded in 1914, this hotel has some great history. Still run by the same family, 3 generations further along, that started it over 90 years ago. The hotel offers a blend of European and Latin American decor and architecture, and is well known for its great food and European style management.

The 19 rooms are all spacious and very comfortable, whilst in keeping with the rustic feel of the area, the balance has been achieved well. There are a number of different rooms varying in size and capacity of people.

One of the outstanding features of this great little hotel is the fire side bar, allowing people to relax in the evening with their favorite drink, in front of the roaring fire. The hotel does not feel that of Panamanian decent, but rather of somewhere in Europe, Switzerland perhaps, a great change if traveling throughout Panama for a period of time.

'Basic rooms but comfortable!! However some of the best food in Panama set in a very warm and log fire environment. The hotel is far enough away from town not to be bothered but close enough to walk to.'
